This course is based on case studies of how travel and tourism are linked to spas, medical tourism, yoga, meditation, pilgrimages, “New Age” and personal development centres and events.  Various management issues are treated including consumer drivers, product development, marketing and operations. Regions featured include Malaysia, Europe, Australia, Asia, Middle East, India, USA. 

Case studies featured include venues in Russia, Belgium, Italy, Finland, Netherlands, Israel, Switzerland, Hungary, Spain, India, Japan, UK, Morocco, and USA.

The course is completed with a project on your own region or a region of your choice.

This course is accredited by the Institute of Hospitality Management Ireland (www.ihmi.org.uk) and graduate are eligible to apply for membership. Holders of the diploma will also be able to apply direct for a Master's degree in Ecotourism with Calamus International University (www.unicalamus.org) - note: CIU is not a UK university.

Please note that this course is for business or professional development of existing tourism and hospitality operators, complementary therapy practitioners and/or personal interest, and is meant to be complementary to any standard or international travel or tourism qualifications.

International Advanced Diploma in Holistic Tourism  

 

The International Advanced Diploma in Holistic Tourism is for holders of both Diplomas in Ecotourism and Health & Wellness Tourism only, and is achieved by researching and submitting an independent study paper of at least 5,000 words on any aspect of ecological or mind-body-spirit tourism.  The cost of the International Advanced Diploma in Holistic Tourism is GBP 350.
